Welcome
What is grief brain? Webster's doesn't yet have a definition, but think of it as an umbrella term for the physical, mental, and emotional feelings and changes we experience throughout the grieving process. A few of these may be sleeplessness, mental fogginess, mental and emotional intensity, prone to errors and accidents, anger, isolation, loss of self identity, overall confusion, and the deep, intense pain left by this immense void in our lives.
While grief is an individual and extremely solitary experience, you are not alone. As you'll learn throughout your journey, there is often an instant connection to others also on their grief journeys. Grief support groups are a great place to meet those individuals and get the support we all need throughout this experience.
The purpose of this site is to offer some of the resources I've found helpful on my own journey. It's also an homage to my late husband. Please read more about him and our grief journeys on the Love Letters and In Memory tabs.
